They woke up from a long slumber and stretched, looking around longingly for someone to talk to. However much they tried to find someone, no one came forward.
Despite the seemingly endless setback they had to endure, they didn’t necessarily give up. Finding the perfect symbiosis for someone like them felt almost impossible. They couldn’t exactly grasp the concept of what they were feeling, because they had never felt an emotion like this before. They were… sad? No, that couldn’t be. She was very clear about one thing. Once you embraced her love, you would never feel alone again, because she would always be with you. However, for the first time in a very long time… they felt… alone.
They slumped down against a nearby wall, as the onlookers ignored them entirely, laughing and showing affection towards one another. They were… jealous. She also made it clear that by embracing her love, you would never have any kind of trouble finding someone.
As the minutes went by, they felt how something… wet started to trickle down one of their cheeks. What was this…? It couldn’t have been the fluid they were actually familiar with. No, this was something else. They tasted it. It felt… weird. Like… a fragment of a long lost memory that brought them nothing but pity. They had heard of things like those. Tears. The human way of showing… weakness.
They sighed gently and got up, looking around at all of the happy couples one last time. They were about to leave, when a piercing scream cut through the air, as someone yelled out, saying: “MOM, DAD… I CAN’T TAKE THIS ANYMORE! I… I’M A LESBIAN!”
